Winning work from Children's Hospices UK

It is no exaggeration when we say that narrowing down the charity video entries to a short list, let alone picking the winner, was near-on excruciating. The entries covered almost every facet of the third sector, from their focus to their size. It was blindingly obvious that a great deal of enthusiasm was poured into each entry, while the variations in creativity were quite astounding.

It is fair to say that the judging process was far harder than had been anticipated. After the judges, including representatives from Media Trust, Third Sector Magazine, Ian Emes, Precedent owner and founder, Paul Hoskins, and Dean Russell, Head of Digital Marketing at Precedent, battled to construct the short list, the slightly bewildered staff here at Precedent had their say. Picking from six was head scratching enough, so narrowing down the list from over 60 was a feat in itself. It was however, Children's Hospices UK which deservedly won the final prize.

The national charity works to support all hospice services across the UK. They hope to give those children who are unlikely to reach adulthood, and their families, the best possible hospice care and attention. Alongside lobbying and fundraising for hospices, the charity works tirelessly to raise awareness within the public of the work that hospices do and why their role is vital for so many young children and families. The work they do is quite invaluable and now, with a bit of help from us, it is hoped they can improve their communications strategy online and reach an even wider audience.

Congratulations again to Children's Hospice's UK: your entry was not only inspirational, but it captured our imaginations and we hope to be able to help promote your cause as well bring in more support for the crucial work you do.
