Precedent has been working with the world's leading body for health and safety professionals - the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) - for nearly three years to create this stylish, interactive new website.

Together, we created a fresh, accessible and user-friendly site, which caters to both its public and professional communities: www.iosh.co.uk

While the public can now easily search for consultants, advice and general information, the professional audience can log in, chat with other professionals in the forum, and complete their profile, including what they hope to study and achieve within the sector.

Working with the brand guidelines, we experimented with a variety of colour palettes and schemes before settling on the clean and sharp looking turquoise that the new site embodies. Far more than a merely aesthetic makeover, it was technically a challenging site to build as we needed to integrate with third party software to update IOSH's backend system, enabling users to see real time information. The site has not only increased from 200 to over 2,000 web pages, it also offers users personalised content. With one single log in, the site promises better networking facilities for the 35,000 plus strong IOSH membership base, easier access to IOSH services, specially tailored desktop content, updates of the latest news as well as information on the many events which take place each year.

It has been a creatively challenging and engaging project for us to work on and we, along with IOSH, are very pleased with the result - and hopefully the users are too, with well over 125,000 hits on the first live day alone!
